Ostium is on a simple mission: make it possible for anyone with a digital wallet to trade stocks, commodities, currencies, and crypto with full transparency. No brokers, no freezes, no hidden spreads. We’re replacing the opaque, offshore brokerage model with a transparent, permissionless trading stack built onchain. Every trade, deposit, and withdrawal is verifiable through open, auditable code. We’ve raised $27.9M+ from General Catalyst, Jump, LocalGlobe, Susquehanna (SIG), GSR, Alliance DAO, Soma Capital, Balaji Srinivasan, Meltem Demirors, and others.
Remote / Full-Time or Contract
We’re hiring a Video Editor & Motion Designer to own video at Ostium — from launch films and cinematic product showcases to fast-turnaround edits for X. You’ll brainstorm directly with the marketing team, set the creative direction, then execute the video in full: concept, storyboard, animation, edit, sound, delivery. We work fast and are looking for someone who can iterate at an ambitious pace without sacrificing craft.
Own videos end-to-end: take a brief from idea to final export — concept, storyboard, design, animation, edit, sound design, and delivery.
Set creative direction: brainstorm with the marketing team on launches, feature releases, and campaigns; pitch concepts and run with them.
Motion design & kinetic typography: type-driven narratives, animated wordmarks, and title cards that can carry a story on their own.
Product & UI animation: cinematic camera moves over the Ostium trading interface —flyovers, depth-of-field, choreographed interactions that make the product the hero.
3D animation: looping icon renders, stylized asset animations, and device mockups that elevate launches beyond a screen recording.
Catchy, rhythm-driven edits: cuts synced tightly to music and SFX, with hooks that stop the scroll in the first two seconds.
Mixed-media storytelling: blend archival footage, screen captures, 3D renders, and typography into one cohesive film.
Iterate fast: turn feedback around quickly and ship multiple cuts per week.
Portfolio first: a reel or body of work showing motion-heavy launch films, product videos, or brand spots. This matters more than anything else on this page.
Editing & motion tools: expert in After Effects and Premiere Pro (or an equivalent professional pipeline).
3D skills: working proficiency in Cinema 4D or Blender, plus a render engine (Octane, Redshift, or Cycles).
Design fundamentals: strong typography, layout, and color instincts; comfortable working from Figma files and brand systems.
Sound-design sensibility: you pace edits to music and SFX and understand how audio drives retention.
Speed & ownership: proven ability to deliver polished work on startup timelines with minimal oversight.
Fluency in the visual language of crypto/fintech Twitter — you know what makes a launch video land with this audience.
Experience animating real product UI (screen replacements, mockup pipelines, Screen Studio-style capture).
AI generation tools in your pipeline (Runway, Veo, Midjourney) for stylized or archival-look footage.
