Data Labeling Specialist, Rwanda [Full Time]

About You and The Role 

As a Data Labeling Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting Zipline’s global operations by providing data labeling coverage to ensure continuous, high-quality data processing. You’ll work alongside the broader Autonomy team to review and label data, adding critical contextual metadata for machine learning applications.

Our Perception systems rely on accurately labeled data to power safety-critical capabilities such as avoiding other aircraft, detecting ground-based obstacles, as well as ensuring safe and precise deliveries. Using internal and external tools, you’ll work across diverse data types and tasks, identifying patterns, outliers, and system issues. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail and methodical thoroughness.

What You'll Do 

• Become an expert in multiple sensor data streams, identifying issues, edge cases, and opportunities to improve labeling and review processes
• Use internal tools to label data and provide feedback to improve tool efficiency and usability
• Deliver high quality labeled data on a regular cadence to meet critical timelines and keep algorithm development on track
• Work with the Autonomy teams on various projects as needed.

What You'll Bring 

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, or have completed all academic requirements including final year coursework and capstone presentations, with graduation pending
• Experience reviewing and labeling data
• Experience managing complex tasks and projects
• Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail over extended periods of time
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

What Else You Need to Know  

• Must have the legal right to work in Rwanda
• This position is expected to primarily operate during daytime hours; however, candidates must be flexible to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Employment type: Full Time.
