JOB SUMMARY 

The Facilities Technician is an entry-level, hands-on individual contributor responsible for supporting daily delivery operations and facility tasks at Apptronik’s Austin, Texas location. This role will initially focus heavily on transporting materials and supplies between company buildings while also completing assigned facility service requests and general building support tasks. 

As operational needs evolve, the role may shift to a greater focus on facility support activities. The position is execution-oriented and task-driven, requiring flexibility, responsiveness, and the ability to complete assigned work orders efficiently. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Perform multiple daily material and supply deliveries between company buildings, including scheduled and urgent transport requests 
  • Load, unload, transport, and stage materials and equipment safely and efficiently 
  • Complete assigned facility service requests and JIRA tickets in a timely manner 
  • Perform general facility support tasks including furniture assembly, workspace setup, wall mounting, minor repairs, and building upkeep 
  • Assist with large-scale setup projects such as assembling desks, staging workspaces, or relocating equipment 
  • Support preventative maintenance tasks as assigned 
  • Maintain clean and organized storage areas, workspaces, and common areas 
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other standard facility equipment ● Follow direction from Facilities leadership and complete tasks as assigned 
  • Update ticketing or work-order systems to reflect task completion 
  • Participate in on-call rotation and assist with emergency facility response when required 
  • Travel between company locations as needed to support facility operations 
  • Adjust daily responsibilities based on operational priorities and business needs 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS 

  • Willingness to perform hands-on, physical, and task-oriented work throughout the day 
  • Ability to follow direction and complete assignments independently once instructed 
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks such as furniture assembly or equipment setup 
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record 
  • Ability to safely drive company or rental vehicles between locations 
  • Ability to safely use basic hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to obtain certification if required 
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to update work-order or ticketing systems 
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, punctuality, and reliability in a structured work environment ● Handling sensitive equipment and materials with care 
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions 
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • 0–2 years of experience in facilities support, construction support, warehouse operations, delivery services, or related hands-on work preferred 
  • On-the-job training will be provided 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching 
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as required 
  • Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, power tools, and other facility equipment 
  • Ability to work in mechanical rooms, warehouses, offices, and other facility spaces 
  • Vision and hearing sufficient to safely perform job duties and communicate effectively 
  • Ability to respond to facility emergencies, including outside of normal business hours, as required
