As an Engineering Manager in the Networking team at Databricks India, you will be focussing on building new backend connectivity services that powers millions of VMs running on Databricks. You will also be leading the design and development of new services that powers the connectivity between our control plane and compute plane. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and other engineering teams, to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and efficient networking systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about solving novel multi-cloud and distributed systems challenges

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor database health and efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership in addressing complex database-related challenges.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and process improvement within the team.

What we look for:

  • 12+ years of extensive experience with large-scale distributed systems alongside the processes , preferably on networking
  • 4+ years of proven managerial experience in managing and mentoring engineering teams
  • Demonstrated success in working with multiple stakeholders to optimize database access patterns and improve system performance.
  • Experience in developing and implementing proactive mechanisms
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
