Senior QA Engineer - .COM - Automation & Java coding

Responsibilities

Work closely with team members (Developers, Product Manager and Partners) to develop, test and deliver high quality software products

Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

Prevent, collect, analyze and track product defects

Design, develop and execute Automation scripts

Hands-on Manual investigation and reproduction of functional Backend (Java) software issues

Root cause analysis of existing test script failures

Identification of current test script deficiencies and candidates for additional scripted coverage

Investigatory testing of unreleased features including defining requirements, behavior and impact

Documentation and design of candidate test scenarios for the above

Requirements

At least 7-8 years experience in software testing methodologies, both Automation (*Must have) & Manual (General)

Strong ability to to write clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

Strong ability to handle Backend services such as APIs, Databases, distributed services

Familiar with Linux and database operation: Mysql, SQLServer, Oracle and test environment construction by CICD, Spring Boot

Good programming: Master in Java coding (Must have)

Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process and using collaboration tools, such as Jira, Trello, Slack, etc

Excellent interpersonal, consultative and communication skills

Self-managed, proactive work style. Able to work independently within a team centric environment
