Role

As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer in our Product Development Team for Robotic Solutions you will work closely together with different stakeholders to develop production ready software for scalable robot applications based on our Intrinsic Platform. You will be part of the entire development journey, from scoping the right technical solution, analyzing dependencies and needs up to actual development and testing.  

How your work moves the mission forward

  • Synchronize with product management and platform development to take the right architecture decisions, which ensure long term maintainability and stability. 
  • Implement high quality software with state of the art tooling as part of an experienced team of developers.
  • Be hands on in testing on real hardware and supporting customers where needed.
  • Ensure a smooth transition of feature releases to the Customer Success Team, which will take care of most customer facing enablement and support. 

Skills you will need to be successful

  • Master’s degree or equivalent practical background in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field.
  • Professional work experience with Python and optionally C++.
  • Demonstrated capability in technical leadership, including setting technical direction and guiding development efforts towards successful outcomes.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal cross-functional teams and external technical partners.

Skills that will differentiate your candidacy

  • Experience with Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, Bazel, microservice architectures, and/or real-time systems.
  • Professional experience with delivering industrial robotics and automation solutions.
  • Familiarity writing code that leverages ROS (2), its major frameworks and Gazebo.
  • Experience leading project teams to build robotic systems.
  • Experience with simulation or CAD.

The base salary for this full-time position is between $174,400 - $237,800 (USD) + 15% bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
