Job Description

Chef Robotics is accelerating the deployment of intelligent machines in the physical world, starting with food production—a sector facing the largest labor shortage in the U.S., with 1.14M unfilled jobs today and 3.1M projected by 2030. These roles cannot be offshored, making robotics essential to keeping production onshore and strengthening America’s manufacturing base. Backed by investors like Kleiner Perkins, Construct, Bloomberg Beta, and Promus Ventures, and supported by a world-class team from companies such as Cruise, Zoox, Google, Tesla, and Amazon Robotics, Chef is rapidly scaling with multiple multi-year contracts and a mission to put an intelligent robot in every commercial kitchen.

About the Role

Chef Robotics is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Warehouse Technician to support daily warehouse operations, inventory control, and production readiness. This role is critical to ensuring manufacturing technicians have the right materials through accurate receiving, shipping, inventory management, and part kitting. This role will also require the use of hand tools and torque wrenches to assist the manufacturing team as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving production environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and parts.
  • Pull, kit, and stage parts for the manufacturing team.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.
  • Effectively communicate between supply chain manager and manufacturing team.
  • Identify and report low inventory levels to ensure continuous material availability for the manufacturing team.
  • Transact inventory through Chef’s inventory management system.
  • Prepare finished goods for shipment, including packaging, crating, and labeling.
  • Maintain a clean and well organized workspace in support of 5S and overall operational excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, organization, and overall warehouse efficiency.
  • What you bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a warehouse, material handling, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications for documenting and receiving/shipping material goods.
  • Hands-on experience using basic hand tools and torque wrenches.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
