Job Description

You could work anywhere. Why Figment?

Figment powers the future of Web3 through industry-leading blockchain infrastructure. As the leading provider of staking solutions, we help 500+ institutional clients optimize their crypto rewards, including top exchanges, asset managers, wallets, foundations, custodians, and major token holders. Our clients trust Figment for a comprehensive suite of services, including reward optimization, cutting-edge API development, detailed rewards reporting, seamless partner integrations, governance support, and slashing protection.

Backed by a team of passionate and intelligent Figmates, with a 100% remote-first global presence across 12 countries, our company is on a mission to accelerate the adoption, growth, and long-term success of the Web3 ecosystem. We’re building the infrastructure that will power the decentralized future.

As a fast-growing tech company, we’re looking for builders and innovators — people who thrive in the face of uncertainty and are motivated to make an impact. We are also looking for true teammates - people who are genuine, humble, and driven to level up together. If you're excited to shape the future, contribute to an energetic company culture, and work at the cutting edge of blockchain technology, we want you to join our team and help us lead the charge!

About the opportunity

Figment's DevOps team secures billions in staked assets across 50+ blockchain protocols. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll own mission-critical validator infrastructure and pioneer agentic AI workflows that amplify team capability, sharpen operational decision-making, and drive measurable business outcomes. You'll have end-to-end ownership, high autonomy, and a direct impact on how our platform performs and scales.

How you will make an impact

  • Deploy and maintain blockchain validator nodes and associated infrastructure, leveraging Ansible and Terraform to automate protocol operations and guarantee maximum uptime for the network fleet
  • Build and extend agentic AI workflows that automate operational patterns, directly driving AI enablement and infrastructure efficiency
  • Onboard new protocols and staking infrastructure for institutional customers
  • Sharpen monitoring, alerting, and observability across hybrid infrastructure supporting high-value blockchain staking operations
  • Partner closely with our security team to deploy highly secure CI/CD builds and drive release pipeline improvements
  • Contribute to incident resolution and participate in on-call rotation supporting operations across 50+ blockchain production staking infrastructure
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in Security, Product, Customer Success, and Finance, as well as external blockchain foundations, to drive strategic initiatives across our globally distributed team

What you bring to the team

  • 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering, with demonstrated experience building AI-augmented operational workflows and agentic tooling
  • Strong expertise in Linux systems administration - systemd, networking, kernel upgrades, bare-metal comfort
  • Comfortable with deep shell scripting, Python/Go, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Proven success managing hybrid environments (bare-metal and cloud) at scale, with Ansible provisioning across multiple production hosts and Terraform-driven workflows for VMs, monitoring, Vault, and DNS modules
  • Deep knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms (Datadog, PagerDuty - preferred) with a focus on actionable alerting and operational clarity
  • Demonstrated experience building production-grade AI workflows using agentic tooling (Claude Code or equivalent), and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment
  • A proactive, dive-in problem-solving mindset: you see risks early, turn them into plans, and drive improvements while sharing knowledge with your teammates

Bonus if you have

  • Hands-on blockchain validator operations experience with Solana, Ethereum, Cardano, Cosmos SDK, or similar, including Layer 1/2 infrastructure and familiarity with protocol-specific tooling (Solana CLI, Cardano tools, etc.)
  • Kubernetes or container orchestration experience
  • Cloud-native depth on AWS or GCP, including Nitro Enclaves or managed Kubernetes
  • Security engineering or systems hardening background
  • Networking depth in P2P topology

  • 4 weeks of PTO that kick in day one, with an additional 1 week of flex days.
  • Extended company-paid health benefits that kick in day one.
  • Best in class parental leave and flexible arrangements.
