Job Description

About Polymarket

Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future.

We're growing fast – both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Office Manager to own the full scope of workplace operations at our NYC headquarters. This is an ops role, not an administrative one. You'll manage the physical space, vendor relationships, events, culture infrastructure, and office expansion projects that come with a fast-scaling team. You'll run the office like a product, constantly shipping improvements that make our environment match the intensity of the work we do.

This role reports to the VP of Operations and works closely with People Ops, Executive Assistants, and the Creative team.

What You'll Do

  • Own the NYC office end-to-end: space, supplies, equipment, mail, access, security, and IT coordination

  • Be the first point of contact for anything office-related - if something's broken or missing, fix it before anyone notices

  • Manage and negotiate vendor relationships: cleaning, catering, snacks, plants, maintenance, AV, and co-working memberships

  • Maintain office budgets, track spend, and report monthly to Ops leadership

  • Plan and execute internal events: team offsites, all-hands logistics, happy hours, celebrations, and onboarding days

  • Own the guest experience - investors, candidates, and partners should walk in and immediately understand what Polymarket is about

  • Support People Ops on culture initiatives: swag, welcome kits, anniversary recognition, and seasonal programming

  • Lead the office expansion/design project: work with architects, designers, and contractors to build out our new space

  • Manage the move timeline, vendor selection, permitting, furniture procurement, and budget

  • Think long-term about workplace strategy - what does the Polymarket office look like at 200 people? 500?

  • Build repeatable systems: visitor management, room booking, inventory tracking, and maintenance schedules

  • Document SOPs so the office runs smoothly even when you're not there

  • Own the onboarding experience for new hires: desk setup, equipment, access, and first-day logistics

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5+ years in office management, workplace ops, or facilities at a high-growth startup or tech company

  • Experience managing an office expansion or build-out - you know the difference between a GC and a CM and have dealt with both

  • Strong vendor management instincts: you negotiate well, hold people accountable, and don't overpay

  • Systems thinker who defaults to building processes, not just solving one-off problems

  • Extreme ownership mentality - if the coffee machine is broken and the AV fails during all-hands, that's your problem to solve

  • Excellent communication skills: equally comfortable working with executives, engineers, and external vendors

  • High attention to detail and taste - the office should look good, feel good, and run well

  • Experience in fintech, crypto, or fast-moving startups (preferred)

  • Event planning background, internal or external (preferred)

  • Familiarity with Notion, Slack, and modern workplace tools (preferred)

  • Experience managing office build-outs in NYC specifically - permitting, landlord relationships (preferred)

  • Experience working directly with People Ops or HR teams on culture programming (preferred)

Benefits

  • Competitive salary + equity

  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • 401(k)

  • Flexible PTO

  • Wellness stipend

  • Home office equipment budget

  • Unlimited AI tool access (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Perplexity)

  • NYC office with all the perks you’ll be running
